With time passing by, the Internet and television have become the integral part of our life. College students as the young generation who have grown up with the surrounding of television and the Internet have a deeper bond with them. And as the big audience group of screens, college students are taking various TV dramas as their leisure activities.
Various genres of TV dramas contain abundant content which is greatly associated with the social affairs. And they have provided college students with a brand new aspect to view their life. While catching up on TV dramas has released college students from the tedious life, it also discounts the students5 efficiency on study. For many college students who are watching the teleplays, they would not go to sleep until they are too tired to support their eyes. And not only in their resting time, college students also find it hard to resist watching the latest shows even when there are unfinished study tasks.
We may hold an open mind if the addiction to TV dramas is only a waste of time. But the truth is that it is also a threat to our eyes. According to a report released by the World Health Organization in 2017, the nearsightedness rate among Chinese young adults ranks first in the world. Surely study has frayed our eyes more or less, yet facing the screens all day long is another important reason accounting for the nearsightedness.

Catching the latest episodes of a TV drama is a routine for nearly every social group. And college students are no exceptions. Yet different people hold diverging opinions on the college students following the TV dramas. Some people agree that watching TV can provide fresh experiences for college students. But seeing college students neglect their study because of TV dramas, many people consider it should not be supported. In my opinion, watching TV dramas can unleash the stress of study.
