区别辨析fever与heat

fever与heat这两个名词都含“热、热度”之意。

fever : 通常指超过正常体温所出现的发烧、发热；可引申指情绪的激昂和兴奋。

• He’s got a headache and a slight fever.
  他头疼，还有点发烧。
• The whole country seems to be in the grip of football fever.
  全国似乎都陷入了对足球的狂热中。

heat : 一般指具体的热、热度、热力等，有时也应热情、激动的感情。

• the heat of the sun/fire
  太阳／火的高温
• How do you manage to work in this heat without air conditioning?
  在这种高温且没有空调的情况下你是怎么工作的？
• She always wore a coat, even in the heat of summer.
  她总是穿着大衣，甚至在炎热的夏天也不例外。
• Cook the meat on a high/low heat (= at a high/low temperature).
  用高温／低温来烹调肉。
